RULES OF PLAY

Fair Play Starts With Clear Rules

To ensure consistency, safety, and respect for the game, all play at CUE Connect follows standard cue-sports rules along with house regulations. Players are expected to understand and follow these guidelines at all times.

8-Ball Pool Rules

  • Balls must be racked tightly with the top ball placed on the foot spot
  • Ball order is random, except the 8-ball which must be in the center of the third row
  • The cue ball must be placed behind the service line for the break
  • A legal break requires contact with the balls and at least four balls hitting cushions
  • The cue ball must not be pocketed on the break
  • If the 8-ball is pocketed on the break, the balls are re-racked
  • The first player to pot an object ball continues with that category (solids or stripes)
  • A player continues until they miss or commit a foul
  • Fouls result in ball-in-hand for the opponent
  • Once all object balls are cleared, the player must pot the 8-ball
  • The pocket for the 8-ball must be called
  • Potting the 8-ball in a pocket other than the nominated one results in loss of game

9-Ball Pool Rules

  • Played with balls numbered 1 through 9 and the cue ball
  • The lowest numbered ball on the table must be contacted first
  • Balls do not need to be pocketed in numerical order
  • The 9-ball may be pocketed at any time to win the game
  • A player continues until they miss, foul, or pocket the 9-ball
  • Fouls result in ball-in-hand for the opponent

Push Out Rule (9-Ball)

  • After the break and before the second shot, a push out may be called
  • The cue ball may be struck without restrictions
  • There is no requirement to hit a rail, object ball, or the lowest numbered ball
  • The opposing player may choose to play from the resulting position or pass the shot back
HOUSE RULES & REGULATIONS

Rules exist so skill speaks louder.

To protect players, equipment, and the playing environment, the following rules are strictly enforced:

No Smoking Allowed

Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the premises.

No Masse Shots

Masse shots are prohibited to prevent table damage.

No Sitting on Tables

Tables are strictly for play, not seating.

No Food / Drinks

Food and beverages must be kept away.

No Gambling

Gambling in any form is not allowed.

Damage Liability

Any damage caused will be fined up to ₹5,000 or more.

Failure to follow house rules may result in loss of play time or removal from the premises.
